Show Notes

In this episode we have a great talk with Jason Pye. He is a Vice President of Legislative Affaris at Freedomworks who was instrumental in getting a major criminal justice reform bill passed last year.

Jason is a Libertarain leaning lobbyist trying to bring the ligth of liberty to the halls of Washington DC. Jason talks with deep knowledge about the recently passed "The First Step Act."

This major piece of Criminal Justice Reform legislation, which he helped get passed, will bring much needed relief for those who've been the victims of the draconian War on Drugs laws of the 80's and 90's. He also recounts what it was like to be in the Oval Office when the offical signing was done.

The First Step Act is a big step in helping to fix a  broken criminal justice system and it was great to hear, from someone in the trenches, about how this historic piece of legislation got passed, and about the people that its going to help.

If you care about individual freedom, criminal justice reform and living in a more just society then please listen and share.
